On Sunday, the morning service is at 10.30am and will be led by Anne White. The Summer Sunday Club for three to 12 year olds meet in the Small Hall before the service. A prize bingo will be held in Larbert Bowling Club on Thursday, August 13, at 7pm. Entry is £1. This is a fundraising event for Vine Trust Projects in Tanzania. The work party leaves on September 1 and all the money raised will be used to buy building materials to help build houses for vulnerable young people, orphans and widows affected by HIV/AIDS.Please support this very worthwhile cause. Tryst Community Church will meet in the Tryst Community Centre, Park Drive, Stenhousemuir on Sunday at 10am for a Special Service, led by Bill Davidson, with a focus on ‘A Time to Remember’. This will be especially for all who have experienced the grief and loss of a close family member or friend. Please feel free to come along and tell others about it too. We meet for our Prayer Time on Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Centre. We would love to see you at either of these Services.

Car Boot Sale
The Dobbie Hall car boot sale takes place every Wednesday from 8.30am - noon and pitches cost £6 for one and £9 for two. Tables are available for anyone wishing to make some money from unwanted items and all money raised benefits the Hall Trust. For hall and pitch bookings call (01324) 570450.
A meeting of the above takes place every Friday in Larbert Old Church Hall at 8pm. The meetings allow people to share experiences and gain advice on coping with family members suffering from alcoholism. Slimming World consultant, Libby, invites ladies and gents and young adults aged 11 – 15 to join her very friendly group at the club every Tuesday at 7.30pm. She can be contacted on 01324 832152. Larbert East Playgroup has vacancies for new members. The Playgroup is for children of two years six months and upwards and runs on Tuesday through to Friday at Larbert East Church from 9.20 -11am. There is also a Monday Twos club from 9.30 - 11am and a Toddlers Group goes ahead on a Wednesday from 9.30 - 11am. Anyone interested in joining any of these groups will be welcomed at the church at the above times.
The club meets in the games hall at Larbert High School every Monday from 8.15 - 9pm. The group would be happy to welcome new members – whatever the standard – and anyone simply.
Toddlers Tots and Twos
The above group at Larbert Pentecostal Church in Broomage Avenue continues every Thursday. The facility is for 0 – 3 year olds and has a dedicated baby corner. Aerobic and Conditioning

The old Warriors Club has resumed Friday night Bingo sessions and eyes-down is at 8pm prompt. Meanwhile, every Sunday at 3pm a domino competition goes ahead when the winner takes home a two pound steak pie and runner-up a quarter bottle of spirits. Entry is £1 and monies raised go to charity. Tonight, Thursday, the quiz goes on as usual in the lounge 8pm. Entry is £1 and winning team takes all. The Play Your Cards Right game also features on the same evening.
Larbert man Jim Campbell has created a facility to take the worry out of dog walking. Jim has some six runs at the premises near Larbert viaduct where dog owners can exercise their pets in safety, without the fear of being molested by barely trained creatures roaming around. Jim already has owners using the runs and would be happy to supply further information on 01324 873498.
Sweet Harmony Barbershop Chorus meets for practice every Tuesday at 7.30pm in Larbert East Church Hall (Kirk Wynd) when new members will be made most welcome. Stenhousemuir F.C. Community Development Director, Jamie Kirk, would be delighted to hear from anyone over 50 wishing to enjoy a new initiative at the club. A new session of Walking Football has started and places are available at Ochilview on Wednesdays at 6pm. Given running with the ball is out of bounds it is ideal for those who feel they would benefit from a gentler form of the game as well as enjoying the social aspect. Tryst Dental Practice sponsors the local sessions where a cuppa can also be partaken. Currently celebrating its 150th season when all games will be played at home, the club would be delighted to welcome new members at the Church Street green. Forms are available at the bar and the entry fee has been reduced to half price at the present time.
The 62nd Larbert Scout Group is holding a Summer Fayre in Larbert Old Parish Church Hall (next to Larbert Cross) on Saturday, August 15, at 11am. Something for all the family is promised and includes nearly new stall, jewellery, gifts, plants, assault course, numerous children’s games and much more. There will also be a visit from the Fire and Rescue Services, home baking, refreshments and, weather permitting, a number of stalls set up outside. Small donations will be gratefully received for the nearly new stall – unfortunately this does not include clothing, linen or electrical goods – and donors should contact Group Scout Leader, George Clark, on 07718 298199. All profits from the event will go to help with the upkeep of the scout hall and provide activities for the young people of the area throughout the year.

Polmont Hillwalking Club will be climbing up to four munros near Kinlochleven on Sunday, August 9. The munros will be Na Gruagaichean, Binnein Mor, Binnein Beag, Sgurr Eilde Mor. Lively walks in Larbert are full of friendly faces, who enjoy the scenery on several different routes around this area. Every Tuesday, 10.30am we leave from Forth Valley Royal Hospital, where there is a choice of an hour walk, or a slower 30 minute walk both finishing in the cafe afterwards. Also a Friday 10.30am walk, leaving from Stenhousemuir shopping centre, again you can join a slower 30 minute walk or brisker one hour walk, where you can meet everyone in the cafe after your walk.
