The ale will be flowing this weekend as lovers of the stuff make their way to Larbert for its annual festival celebrating the beverage.

Falkirk Provost Pat Reid, who helped launch the festival, said: “The festival is all thanks to the hard work of all the volunteers who make this happen and hopefully it will be a boost to the local economy and local breweries through the extra income created.”

The festival runs from 5 - 11 p.m. on Friday and noon - 11 p.m. on Saturday with live entertainment and live music on Saturday night by Sound Cradle.

Tickets are £5 (£3 for card-carrying CAMRA members) and the price includes a glass and programme.
