Pupils and staff at Larbert High School put their culinary skills and ability to keep calm under pressure to the test at a cookery event.

On Your Marks, Get Set, Cook! paired up two students with a teacher and pitted them against another team to make the most delicious meal in just 15 minutes.

The event, organised by the food and consumer technology department in conjunction with school catering suppliers Chartwells, then allowed the audience to vote for their favourite dish.

The Harris House competition paired depute head John Docherty with head boy James Crawford and Tilly O’Donnell (S1) against principal teacher of health and well being Andy Auld, Harris House captain Fay McBurney and Alex Whitfield (S1).

Andy Auld’s team won with their spiced Quorn and five flavoured noodles, impressing the audience over Mr Docherty’s Makhani chicken and rice.
