Drivers are being reminded to allow extra time for their journeys if using the M9 this weekend and next.
The carriageway between junction eight (Hill of Kinnaird) and junction nine (Bannockburn) will be reduced to one lane in both directions as resurfacing work is carried out from 8 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. on Monday.
The work will resume next Friday at the same time and finish at 6 a.m. the following Monday.
A contraflow traffic management system will be in place over both weekends and a speed limit of 40mph will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
This section of the M9 is used by around 11,000 vehicles every day and it now requires upgrading.
