Over a kilogram of ecstasy worth more than £35,000 has been recovered by police in Denny.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a joint operation between Border Force and the National Crime Agency, after a package of the class A drug was discovered in Falkirk.

CID officers executed a warrant on Friday April 8 and recovered the drugs, which had been delivered from the Netherlands.

The confiscated package contained 990g of ecstasy worth £29,700 and tablets worth £4840 were also recovered from the property.

Detective Sergeant Forbes Wilson, of Stirling Police Station, said: “This was an excellent piece of proactive work and shows how effective multi-agency work can be.

“It’s always satisfying to get drugs off our streets, particularly when it’s a high quantity.
