Grangemouth coach company Fitzcharles has ceased trading today.

A total of 37 employees including drivers, mechanics and office staff will be made redundant at 5pm.

Insolvency practioner Nick Robinson who had been called in by directors Ronnie Fitzcharles and his sister, Olive King, said: “Unforunately the company has ceased trading effective from today with the loss of 37 jobs. There will be a meeting of creditors within the next three weeks when Fitzcharles will formally be placed in voluntary liquidation. This is a very difficult time for the directors and their workforce.”

The company, based in Newhouse Road, was founded in 1948 and famour for its coach hire, package holidays and day tours.
