IN PICTURES: On their marks for Strathcarron 10k

The sun shone on the 300-plus runners taking part in this year’s Strathcarron Hospice 10k.

Despite the warm conditions and the hilly course round Denny, winner Jozsef Farkas from Bridge of Allan left others in his wake as he crossed the finishing line in a time of 33:45. He was almost three minutes ahead of runner-up Barry Paterson of Falkirk who finished in 36:32.

First male veteran was Iain Taylor of Carnegie Harriers in Fife.

Kinross High School teacher Patricia Milne was first female over the line and also the first female veteran with a time of 42:07.

Continuing the Fife challenge was Kinross High pupil Kieran Potter who was first junior and also took the Paul Canavan and the School trophies.
