A man who was knocked down on a busy stretch of motorway near Stenhousemuir on August 13 has been revealed as Daniel Biggins from Glasgow.

The 54-year-old was taken to the nearby Forth Valley Hospital where he later died.

The incident took place at 11.15 p.m. at junction seven of the M9 eastbound.

No charges will be brought against the driver.

The M9 eastbound and the M876 eastbound were temporarily closed for some while collision investigations were completed.

Police inquiries are on-going.

Roads policing officer Inspector Andrew Thomson said: “I would like to thank the media and public for their response to our appeal for information about this tragic event.

“We have had an excellent response and several witnesses have now come forward.”
