The aim of The Falkirk Herald Business Awards, run by Scotland’s top weekly newspaper, is to recognise all that is best about local business.

This is the fifth time these awards have been held and on each occasion the breadth and depth of innovative companies and successful organisations shines through.

The Falkirk Herald Business Awards 2013 are now under way.

And if you want to be among the winners at the glittering prize ceremony, don’t delay -fill in your entry form now.

The event takes place on November 21 in the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel, Polmont.

Stuart Birkett, managing director of Johnston Press plc’s Scottish publishing unit, which produces The Falkirk Herald, said he was delighted by the level of interest the awards had created.

He said: “Over the past few years, this event has become a firm fixture in the business calendar and one which is eagerly anticipated.

“This year is no different and there has already been an encouraging number of people indicating they want to be part of the 2013 awards.”

This year we are delighted to welcome Falkirk Council as our strategic partner.

And this new partner will also be sponsoring one of the new award categories. Employer of the Year is open to any business, regardless of size or sector, which has more than one employee.

Judges will be looking for businesses which encourage employee work progression; are committed to workforce development; recognise the benefits of a healthy work-life balance; support the aspirations of employees; and foster a supportive and welcoming workplace.

Entry for the awards closes on Thursday, October 3 – so don’t delay in getting your completed form returned.

Judging to decide on the final shortlist will take place between October 28 and November 8.

Entry forms are available now from our website and can also be obtained by e-mailing businessawards@falkirkherald.co.uk or calling us on (01324) 690222 to have one posted out.
