You can help decide the district’s favourite pet in tomorrow’s Falkirk Herald.

While cute Pudsey was stealing the nation’s hearts in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, we’re looking for the dog who may not be able to do a host of tricks but certainly knows how to look good in front of the camera.

Once again, The Falkirk Herald has teamed up with Borg Grech Photography of Falkirk to run the annual pet competition.

This year, all the entrants were dogs. They came in all shapes and sizes, but one thing is for sure, they are all much-loved by their proud owners.

The perfect pooches all sat for photographer Paul Borg Grech at his studio at The Coach House, I Hodge Street. Now it’s your turn to help decide the cutest.

Five finalists with the most votes will then go through to the next round of voting.

The winning entry will receive a £300 wall portrait.

Falkirk Herald editor Colin Hume said: “As always, our pet competition attracted a lot of interest and, from the line-up featured here, it’s going to be a difficult decision.

“Thankfully, the selection of the final five rests with the readers rather than myself!”

To vote for your favourite entrant in this year’s pet competition just fill in the coupon in this week’s Falkirk Herald and send it to us.

Closing date for entries is noon on Friday, June 1.

The top five will then be printed in the edition of June 7 when there will be another round of voting. Votes from the first round will be added to these to reveal our winning entrant.
