there’s still time to nominate a community champion.

The annual search for the most worthy person to receive Falkirk Rotary Club’s Community Achievement Award is drawing to a close.

Members will then select the nominee who they believe has made the most contribution to their neighbourhood.

As well as receiving a trophy, the winner will also be given £400 to donate to the charity of their choice, thanks to contributions from sponsors The Falkirk Herald and Phoenix Honda.

Last year’s recipient was Grangemouth’s Mary Munro who was honoured for her work with the Girl’s Brigade.

President Tom Curry said: “The choosing and presentation of the Community Award is one of the highlights of our Rotary year and gives us the opportunity to publicly recognise and honour a worthy member of our community.”

To nominate someone you consider deserving of this award, tell us a bit about them and what they have done for their community. Don’t forget to include their contact details, along with your own.

Send nominations to Community Achievement Award, The Falkirk Herald, Unit 4A, Gateway Business Park, Beancross Road, Grangemouth FK3 8WX or e-mail editorial@falkirkherald.co.uk
