Forth Valley Royal Hospital has been praised for the “amazing turn around” in its performance when it comes to caring for patients.
The Healthcare Improvement Scotland Inspection report stated 97 per cent of patients were satisfied with the care they had received at the hospital.
Falkirk East MSP Angus MacDonald said: “The statistics show an amazing turnaround for Forth Valley Hospital. They have clearly worked very hard to improve matters for patients.
“I am confident that patients will receive the best possible care and these standards will be maintained in the future.”
NHS Forth Valley also welcomed the report, which highlighted many areas of good practice in the acute hospital care provided to older people.
A spokesperson said: “It recognises our commitment to maintain the dignity of patients and ensure they are cared for with compassion and respect. Inspectors also commented on the warm, caring and meaningful way in which our staff interact with patients and the strong leadership provided by senior nurses in our wards.”
