Forth Valley hospitals extend visiting times

Forth Valley Hospital has taken a more flexible approach to visiting times

People can take advantage of extended visiting times at all NHS Forth Valley hospitals.

From today, the new hours at NHS Forth Valley Royal Hospital as well as the four community hospitals at Falkirk, Stirling, Bo’ness and Alloa for inpatients are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.

Visiting times for inpatient mental health wards at Forth Valley Royal Hospital have also been extended to 3-8 p.m.

It is hoped the new hours will help with parking at the Larbert hospital, following complaints from visitors missing being late for, or missing, visiting times as they were unable to find a parking space.

A more flexible approach to visitors has also been shown to help aid patients recovery.
