Haggs Church

Worship on Sunday begins at 11 a.m. There is no vestry hour on Monday. The 37 Club meets on Tuesday at Castlecary Hotel, at 7 p.m. for a 7.30 p.m. start. The B.B. minibus will uplift members for church at the usual time. Anyone requiring the services of a minister should contact the Rev. H. F. Christie on (01324) 813786.

Citizens Advice

Denny & Dunipace Citizens Advice hold an outreach clinic in the Community Education Wing at Bankier Primary School on Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. There is a facility to complete online benefit applications at the Community Education Wing at Bankier Primary School. Telephone service: (Citizens Advice Direct) (01324) 823118 Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Parish Church

On Sunday, August 31, the service in Haggs will start at 11 a.m, with Sunday Club. There will be a Vestry Hour on Monday, September 1 between 6 and 7 p.m. The Congregational Board meet on Monday, September 1, in the MacLean Hall at 7 p.m., this meeting is followed by a meeting of the Kirk Session. Banner Group will meet on Tuesday, September 9 in the MacLean Hall at 7.30 p.m. Teas/Coffees after church, anyone can assist please add your name to the list in the church vestibule or church hall. Make it Happen is a new forum – which invites all over 50s to a meeting on Monday, September 1, in Bonnybridge Community Centre between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.(See leaflets in vestibule.) Boys’ Brigade

The new session of 1st Haggs Boys’ Brigade starts on Tuesday, September 2 in Bankier Primary School: Anchor Boys (P2/P3) 6 to 7.15 p.m.: Junior Section (P4/P5/P6) 7.15 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 5, Company Section (P7+) 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. (Note new time) - All boys welcome.

Make It Happen

The local meeting of the Make It Happen Forum for over 50s will meet in Bonnybridge Community Centre, Bonnybridge on Monday, September 1 at 10.30-12.30 p.m. The Forum is an exciting new way for over 50s to get involved, discuss ideas and concerns and to have a real voice in your community. We’ve arranged for Braveheart to deliver a taster session on their new Optimise programme which is very informative and interesting.
