A church group known for its generous acts of benevolence has started 2015 with a bang.

The fundraising committee of Tulliallan and Kincardine Parish Church has been raising money for good causes for many a year and a care home was the benefactor of its fundraising efforts last year.

Alison Graham, manager of the Forth Bay Care Home in Kincardine, is pictured above receiving a cheque for a massive £600 from members of the group.

Group convenor Willie McKie said: “We normally give 10 per cent of what we raise each year by Tulliallan and Kincardine Church to a local good cause. For 2014, we have given £600 to the Forth Bay Care Home in the village.

“We raise the money through various activities throughout the year. Annually, we also give £50 to the local children’s gala committee.

“We couldn’t do this without the kind donations from members of our church and, of course, our community.”

The group has a table top sale on February 28 and its annual sponsored walk in April.
