Everyone, almost without exception, likes a good tune and the sounds of one group are spreading harmony throughout the district.

Sweet Harmony Barbershop Chorus was formed in 2012 with five men but has grown with its popularity and now boasts a line-up of 25 regulars.

The male voice choir sing accomplished, pleasant and enjoyable barbershop A-Capella singing at a host of events throughout the Forth Valley and performed at 32 functions in 2014 with bookings filling up for this year.

They made their debut performance at last year’s Falkirk Tryst Festival in Falkirk Town Hall and due to popular demand will be back there on May 15.

Other venues include performing at the Commonwealth Games Queens Baton Relay event at Helix Park, the Inchyra and Park hotels, Dunblane Hydro, Falkirk town centre, churches, residential/care homes and for local groups.

The group also donated £1000 to five charities in the area.
