Keeping fit and active can be fun as well as healthy.
Step Forth walking groups operate across the district to help people get more active within their own communities and is especially for those who take little physical activity or live in areas of poor health.
The groups are for all ages and abilities, are free of charge and are led by volunteers walk leaders giving people the opportunity to organise their own walks.
The Carronshore group is one of the more popular, and cheerful, according to walk co-ordinator Barbara McConnell.
She said: “We have some great groups in the Falkirk area and the Carronshore one has been very successful.
“The people who come along all have a great time, there’s lots of laughs, and they are a really close bunch too helping fellow members through some tough times.”
Walks last around 45 minutes.
