If you like to share your ideas, thoughts and experiences with others, there is a local group set up just for this purpose.
The Falkirk branch of the National Women’s Register has been going in the district since the 1970s and is for ladies who like to be social.
The movement is not political, religious, campaigning or judgemental and does not do fundraising or pressure society around any agenda. It’s perfect for parents whose children have left home, people who have retired from work or moved to a new area looking for new horizons.
Local member Alison Whitton said: “We have weekly evening discussion topics which have been agreed at our bi-annual planning meetings. The topics are very varied and can be humorous or serious, occasionally we have speakers.
“We also have monthly coffee mornings. Over the Summer we suspend the discussions and have fortnightly ‘Supper Walks’. We are open to all lively-minded women and welcome new faces.”
