Finding a place you can go to with your children and have fun while meeting friends at the same time can be a tall order.

The Little Tykes parent and toddler group which meets in Grangemouth combines all this and provides playtime for kids and mums and dads too.

The group was set up in September by Kylie Beattie and Lisa Hodge and has proved very popular in the area with more than 20 children attending with their parents every week. It only costs £1 to help with the costs of running the group.

Kids are given an array of activities to keep them entertained like arts and crafts, face painting and music which parents can get involved in too.

Kylie said: “We felt there wasn’t a lot of things available for parents and young kids so we started Little Tykes and it just keeps growing.

“For the parents it’s just like meeting up every week with friends and we’ve got quite a few dads who come along too.”
