Preserving the history of a proud community takes dedication and Grangemouth Heritage Trust is as focused as they come.
The trust is run by a dozen committed volunteers who man the museum in La Porte Precinct from Monday to Saturday.
It holds a vast collection of photographs of Grangemouth from the past as well as artefacts, school photos, information about industries and old buildings from bygone eras to stir memories and give people an insight into how the town evolved.
One of the highlights in the museum is the 12 x 8ft scale model of the old Grangemouth Airport, which was used as a pilot training airfield during the Second World War.
Another striking artefact is the stained glass windows from the old West Church, which is no longer there, but once stood the Old Town.
The volunteers are always on hand to offer their expertise and the group welcomes new members as well as Granagemouth memorabilia from members of the public.
