Nature lovers from across the Forth Valley are getting together to promote the area’s landscape, wildlife and environment.

The Forth Valley Wildlife and Landscape Forum is the brainchild of the Forth Naturalist and Historian (FNH) group which was set up in 1975 by several University of Stirling and Central Regional Council staff.

The forum culminates in an annual event bringing together those actively involved in local nature conservation including amateurs and professionals, environmental organisations, biological recorders and community groups.

The aim is to raise awareness of the activities of different groups and encourage networking and collaboration through a range of local environmental projects.

FNH activities are managed by a determined band of volunteers who also publish the Forth Naturalist Journal and organise an annual ‘Man and the Landscape’ conference.
