You’ll be rolling back the years with the Falkirk Wheelers if the roller skating bug is still with you.
The pastime has been popular with children for decades, especially in the 1970s and ‘80s, and the local group is championing a revival for anyone who is still interested in all the things you can do on eight wheels.
The Wheelers meet in Bo’ness every week for Rollerhoc, a non-contact version of roller hockey suitable for all levels of skaters for fun and fitness. The hockey equipment is supplied.
If you fancy some recreational skating and want some company, members enjoy an outdoor skate at Helix Park and the Kelpies, in all weathers, once a month on a Friday evening.
Members also organise spur of the moment skates on the group’s Facebook page.
Gregor Watson who runs the group said: “We have around 30 regulars with lots of other people coming along when they want as well. It’s just really good fun and very informal.”
