The Falkirk Library Book Group is open to anyone from the district to have a natter about books.

The group has around half a dozen members at the moment and new members are always welcome to go along and try it out.

Allan Wright, who runs the group, said: “The books are from a list of pre-chosen ones selected by the library staff, but members can also requests titles.

“They mostly they read fiction though we do non fiction and recently did a graphic novel, which had a mixed reaction. It’s really informal with tea and coffee and the chance to have a social blether.2

Titles read by the group include ‘Bel Canto’, ‘Slaughterhouse 5’, ‘Let The Right One In’, ‘The Descendents’, ‘state of Wonder’, ‘The Psychopath Test’, ‘Dotter of Her Father’s Eyes’, ‘Neverwhere’ and ‘Case Histories’.
