As the temperature drops we’re all looking for ways to keep and there’s one local group that can help you with that.

Falkirk Knitting Group meets every second week and welcomes anyone wishing to join so it’s the perfect place to knit yourself something to keep you warm through the cold winter days and nights ahead.

The group has been running for four years now and has around 10 members.

The library provides the space for the knitters to get together and swap patterns, look through the numerous knitting books in stock, discover new techniques and have a chat with tea, coffee and biscuits.

Librarian Allan Wright said: “The group has been going for a few years now and is great for confident knitters and beginners who are always welcome.

“We’re always looking for new ideas for them and people can do patterns of the likes of Andy Murray.”
