One group in the Falkirk district that is going places is a new walking group for people with disabilities.
Falkirk Area Disability Access Panel was established in 2012 to continue the great work which preceded it by the Falkirk Access and Assessment Group, founded by Peter Rowe and Henry Shelock.
The group promotes accessibility and equality for disabled people and campaign for better access to public venues and support those with disabilities.
A new walking group was launched last week by members and organisers who have a passion for walking.
The group is also planning to develop regular walks with other local organisations such as the Scottish Waterways Trust and Step Forth to add to their walks around the district beauty spots like the Kelpies, Callendar Park, the Antonine Wall and Lionthorn woods.
Organiser Sonia McLay said: “We now have a website which has all the details of the new walking programme for anyone interested in coming along.”
