Whether you’re eight or 80, there’s a place at Camelon Art Class to help you develop your creative skills among like-minded people who encourage each other.

There are several classes in Camelon Community Education Centre and the groups are well established with a cross-range of abilities.

They welcome everyone from beginners to the more experienced and are a very friendly group, with members supporting other colleagues and enjoying both the painting and social side of the class.

Julie Cully, who runs the classes, said: “We have a range of ages from children when on school holidays to octogenarians who never fail to deliver a good story or two.

“Once a year we have a small exhibition of work in the Old Folks Hall , Laurieston. This is a very social weekend and we also manage to sell a few pictures. Proceeds go to the hall and the old folks who use it.

“We use all different mediums to make pictures and are always looking for new and enthusiastic people to join.”
