A group of fun-loving over-50s who keep their lives upbeat and active have just celebrated a special first birthday.
Members of the Camelon 50 Plus Group blew the candles out on a very successful first year as a group together.
Around 30 members, men and women, aged from 50 up to their early 80s meet every week for a wide range of activities that helps keep them on their toes as they enter their golden years. On the agenda at the Monday meetings are guest speakers from all walks of life, trips around the country which are paid for by the fundraising they do, auctions, workshops and bingo.
They even do fitness classes to keep their tickers in tip-top shape.
Community learning and development support worker, Gail Slater, from Camelon Education Centre said: “They do a bit of anything and everything, lots of different stuff, and are really upbeat and proactive.
“They’ve got a choir going now as well so if anyone can help out with this they would be over the moon.”
