From little acorns grow mighty oaks – a saying that can be used in any walk of life.

Nicola McGaw, who runs the Blok Dance & Fitness Academy in Grangemouth is a dance tutor who embraces this adage to teach youngsters her art.

The local dance academy is associated with the professional Blok Dance Troupe from central Scotland – one of the most successful in the UK.

The fun and funky class focuses on a massive array of dance styles including hip hop, Latin American, salsa, combination, freestyle, rock and roll and cheerleading.

Children and adults of all abilities are welcome along, while there are also fitness classes for those hoping to get in shape.

Nicola said: “My dance classes are my own little business which is in association with the Dance troupe and other girls in the troupe have their own classes in other locations.

“I am also looking to start an adult class at some point in the new year.”
