Zetland Church

Wednesday’s Watchnight Service was conducted by Reverend Alison Meikle with assistance from baby Greg Kirkpatrick, who was in the manger for the first part of the service - a lovely start to Christmas Day. The collections from the Choir Musical and the Watchnight Service amounted to £707.91, and this is being donated to CHAS. Sunday’s Service is at 11.15 a.m. and will be conducted by Alison. Tea and coffee will be served, but there is no Sunday School.

Rotary Club

Santa Claus, with lots of help from his elves in the Rotary Club of Grangemouth, rounded off the club’s annual Santa Sleigh collection at Asda on Christmas Eve, and Santa, accompanied by club president Jim Stirling and other members, returned to duty on Christmas Day during their visit to Cunningham House where presents were handed over to the delighted residents. The Santa Sleigh collection raised more than £5000 which, subject to club approval at its business meeting later this month, will be disbursed next month and allocated to local organisations. The club’s first meeting of 2015 will be on January 8 at the Leapark Hotel.
