Grangemouth Rotary

Not even inclement weather could deter members of the Rotary Club of Grangemouth during their seasonal Santa Sleigh collection around the town which ended yesterday (Christmas Eve) with a short collection at Asda. Although the final figure raised is unknown at the time of writing, the club is more than grateful for the very generous response from townspeople and shoppers. Last Thursday President Jim Stirling welcomed members to the club’s annual charity lunch at Talbot House when the proceeds, amounting to more than £400, were donated equally between Vision Aid overseas and the Jaipur Limb Project in India. Cheese and biscuits for the charity lunch were generously provided by Asda. The club’s next meeting, back at the Leapark Hotel, will be on Thursday, January 8.
