Little hero Jack Meade is a lifesaver after saving his great-gran when he found her passed out in the bath.
The quick-thinking five-year-old rescued Harriet Blair - holding her head above the water until help arrived.
Jack, a primary one pupil at Sacred Heart Primary School in Grangemouth, came to the rescue when he heard gurgling noises coming from the bathroom after school on Thursday.
He found his great-gran unconscious and under the water so went to her aid, holding her head up and shouting on his mum.
He said: “She was really slippy and kept sliding but I held her until mum got there and then I ran downstairs to get her mobile and call 999. I couldn’t find the phone so I ran outside and got help from neighbours.”
A neighbour with a background in first aid helped until the ambulance got to the Grangemouth home and took the 75-year-old to hospital where she was diagnosed with kidney stones.
Jack’s mum Alisa Prentice (27) said: “He is the hero of the family. Everyone is so impressed with how he handled the situation. What could have happened if he hadn’t been there doesn’t bear thinking about. I was downstairs and would never have heard a thing.”
