Former employees of the BTA chemical plant operated by Rohm and Haas for almost 30 years are looking for old colleagues to join them for a works reunion.

The site was built by Borg-Warner in the late 1970s and John Crosbie and Margaret Allan are hoping to rekindle old friendships some time over the coming months.

John said: “If anyone would like to attend an informal get together, possibly in early October this year, at a venue to be decided subject to numbers attending, that would be great.

“I was lucky enough to work in Japan, where BTA was invented, when the plant was being built.”

John and Margaret will be there with some old photos and memorabilia from the plant. Anyone wishing to attend can contact John on (01324) 713166 for information on when and where the event will be held.
