Bowling Club

The touring party from Llanbradach in South Wales arrive tomorrow (Friday) when we will have a karaoke night in the lounge and a light supper. Come along and meet and greet our friends from Wales. They are bringing six mixed rinks with them for the game against Grahamston on Saturday and following dinner we will have a quiz then later in the evening “John Davidson” will entertain the guests. The quiz will start around 7.30 p.m. and the evening entertainment at around 9 p.m. All are welcome to come along.

Miller Hall

The service on Sunday will be at 11.30 a.m. in the Dawson Centre, Bainsford. The service at 6 p.m. will be with the Trinity Group from Larkhall. Come and celebrate and praise our Lord Jesus through song. Bible Study will be held on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.

St James

Rev. Colin Mailer will conduct the service on Sunday. The joint session/board meeting will take place on Wednesday. All elders and board members are encouraged to attend. The Sunday Fun Club Prizegiving will be held on Sunday, June 1. Tea will be served after the service. All welcome. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, June 8. St James will welcome the Moderator of the Presbytery, Mrs Marjory Williamson, on Sunday, June 15 to join St James in worship.

United Church

The kids Sunday Club meets in the church hall at 11 a.m. Come along and make new friends while enjoying games, arts and crafts, songs and Bible stories. There will be no meeting of the Junior or Company Sections on Friday. Both will resume on Friday, May 30 at the usual times. The Anchor Boys (ages 5-7) meets on Monday, May 26 from 6 to 7.15 p.m. Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet throughout the week. Westfield Park

The community cafe cancelled this week and Westfield Park is closed until Friday for the European Paliamentary elections. The Job Club meets on Wednesday between 10 a.m. and noon. The CAB meets every second Thursday between 12.30 and 2.30 p.m. If you require advice or help, please call in to the centre. Falkirk District Credit Union will not be starting in the Centre until June. Thornwood Tenants and Residents Association is holding a fun day at Westfield Park on Saturday, May 31 between 1 and 4 p.m. Come along and support the community. Fun Day

Thornwood Tenants and Residents Association is holding its annual fun day on Saturday, May 31 from 1 until 4 p.m. in the Westfield Park. There will be an assault course, balloon man, Pets at Home, tombolas and various stalls. Teas and coffee will be on sale in the cafe.
