Callendar Woods will be the background for a fright night on Friday where spooky storytelling will help get children in the Halloween spirit.
The ghostly goings-on will take place on trails with rangers from the Forestry Commission Scotland and will include ‘feely boxes’ that may contain a trick or a treat.
Community ranger Gordon Harper said: “We’re really excited about holding our spooky Halloween event at Callendar Wood.
“It will be lots of fun for all the family and a great chance to get kids outside in the autumn doing something different.
“We encourage children to wear fancy dress and there will be prizes for the best fancy dress outfit.”
The Halloween event costs £1 per child who must be accompanied by an adult. Halloween style drinks and snacks will also be available to buy on the night.
The meeting point is at the front of Callendar House at 5.30 p.m. For more information and to book call 03000 676 700.
