The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency has issued an official flood warning for Grangemouth.
High tide level combined with the weather conditions means flooding is possible from the sea and is expected along the coastal frontage in Grangemouth today.
Areas at risk include the A905 at Orchardhead, A904 Bo’Ness Road, Grangemouth Docks including Western Channel and Carron Dock, Dalgrain Road, Glensburgh Road and low lying properties in Glensburgh adjacent to the River Carron, Inchyra Park, Talbot Street, Kerse Road and B9132 Abbots Road.
High tide is expected at 4 p.m. when the level is forecast to reach 4.2 metres.
A SEPA spokesman said: “It is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property, but advice and information is available through Floodline on 0845 9881188.”
