Firefighters have their buckets and sponges at the ready to raise funds for charity.

On Saturday, September 13 motorists can get their car washed in exchange for a donation to The Fire Fighters Charity to help serving and retired service personnel and their families.

Falkirk, Larbert and Denny fire stations are taking part in the all day event.

Regional fundraiser for Scotland Margaret Barnes-Smith said: “We are delighted so many of our fire stations are getting involved and would urge local people to come along and support the day.

“Firefighting can be dangerous, stressful and traumatic. That’s why The Fire fighters Charity is here for every one of the UK’s serving and retitred members of fire and rescue services - and their families.”
