Firefighters rescue Denny woman trapped by fire

A woman was rescued from a flat in Denny at lunchtime today.

Firefighters were called to the kitchen fire at the two storey property in Sawers Avenue around 12.45 p.m.

Crews from Larbert and Stirling arrived to find one woman trapped inside.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the flat and rescued a woman.

She was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

The fire was quickly extinguished.
