The heating in the Town Hall isn’t working but shows will go on say the Community Trust.

The entertainments venue has been experiencing heating problems since last week and staff have been forced to bring in temporary heaters to ensure shows can go ahead.

The Big Bad Wolf Children’s Theatre company has an opening night for its show ‘Peter Pan A Musical Adventure’ at 7 p.m. tonight, but has been assured by Falkirk Council everything is being done to fix the problem.

A message on the group’s Facebook page said: “The heating system in the Town Hall has broken down, the council has assured us they will bring in heaters but the hall will probably still be cold.

“Although this is totally beyond our control can you please pass on our apologies to all your family and friends and let them know that it might be an idea to wrap up warm tonight. Falkirk Council will work to have the heating fixed as soon as possible.”

A spokesperson for Falkirk Community Trust said: “The heating at Falkirk Town Hall is working, however, it is not generating sufficient heat.

“We have temporary heating devices in place to support this and all performances will go ahead as planned.”

For information or tickets to see ‘Peter Pan A Musical Adventure’ tonight contact the Steeple Box Office on (01324) 506850. Tickets are £10 and £8 concessions.

The show is running until Saturday.
