The east end of Falkirk town centre received a much needed boost last week when it was confirmed B & M is on its way.

Moving into the former Tesco site in Meadow Street, the discount superstore will open its doors on Friday, November 14, creating 60 new jobs and, along with KFC, helping make the area a viable destination for consumers once more.

To celebrate the opening, B & M is looking for a deserving local resident to become a VIP for the morning. The store is now searching for an unsung hero to officially open the new store and pocket £250 of store vouchers as a reward.

Manager Carol Lindsay said: “We want a true VIP to officially open our new store and what better way than to ask customers to nominate those who make a real difference to people’s lives in and around Falkirk.

“We want someone who goes an extra mile for people.”

Potential local heroes can be nominated by friends, family or colleagues before the November 7 closing date.

Send nominations to communications@bmstores.co.uk or to Falkirk Local Hero Search, B & M Retail, Dakota Drive, Estuary Commerce Park, Speke, Liverpool L24 8RJ.
