Mum-of-three Anne-margaret Ballantine came up with a Christmas present for a children’s hospital.
As a thank you for the treatment her five-year-old son George is receiving, she organised a fundraiser at a Camelon social club.
George, a pupil at Easter Carmuirs Primary School, was born with an extra kidney and was back in Yorkhill Sick Children’s Hospital in Glasgow towards the end of last year for an operation.
Annemargaret (37), who is also mum to Megan (18) and Aaron (17 months), organised a children’s party at the Ochiltree Club and raised £935.
Along with friend Rhoda Fish, she sold almost 100 tickets and then entertained lots of excited youngsters.
Speaking from her Mariner Road home, she said: “I wanted to give something back to Yorkhill for all the excellent treatment George has received.”
