Braes tenants will benefit from £1.5 million of upgrading work to their homes.
Falkirk Council is spending the cash to improve 90 properties in Slamannan.
Householders will have energy efficient electrical central heating installed if required, external wall insulation and roofing works. The work will be completed by March 28 next year.
Earlier this year, the council agreed to spend over £12 million improving its housing stock.
As well as £6.23 million for new homes in Grangemouth, a £5 million upgrade of two multi-storey blocks, it is spending £1.12 million upgrading gas heating in 500 homes.
Councillor Craig Martin, council leader, said: “We are committed to meeting national standards by 2015 and our replacement programme to bring new central heating systems to over 500 properties will help us reach this ambitious target.”
