Falkirk Bairns got crafty at the weekend to create their perfect Halloween pumpkins.
Some people chose just one design, while others kept themselves warm on the long dark nights by making a whole collection.
Among those creating Halloween lanterns were parents who stepped up to the challenge of carving their children’s favourite characters on the large orange winter squashes.
The faces of Minions, Spiderman, cats and evil clowns were etched on to pumpkins, alongside other more traditional images of witches and ghosts.
But some went back to Halloween traditions and used a bit more elbow grease to chisel turnips to make their lanterns.
Thanks to all the Falkirk Herald’s Facebook friends who took the time to submit pictures of their Halloween creations.
