Motorists will face delays when a busy motorway is closed overnight.
The M876 will be shut to traffic from Junction 8 Bankhead to Junction 2 North Broomage on tonight to allow essential carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
Work will begin at 8 p.m. and be completed by 6 a.m. tommorow.
Traffic wishing to use this section face diversions.
Throughout the work there will be no access to the eastbound M876 from Junction 1 Checkbar.
A spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said the £25,000 investment in resurfacing would provide a smoother and safer surface for the 18,000 motorists using this section of the M876 daily.
Ian Stewart, of BEAR Scotland, said: “These are being carried out at night to minimise the impact on the travelling public.
“However, it is essential for the safety of the workforce and motorists that this section of the M876 is closed overnight while these works are ongoing. It is anticipated there will be some disruption for motorists using this route and we would therefore encourage them to plan their journeys in advance.”
