Police are hunting the mindless vandal who hurled an object through the windscreen of a moving bus and left the driver with a bloody face.
The incident happened just after 9 p.m. on the Glasgow Road, Longcroft last Saturday as the bus drove past the Cotton House restaurant. A man dressed in dark clothing standing on the opposite footpath threw something towards the bus which struck the windscreen, shattering it and showering the driver with glass.
The 47-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment to cuts on his arms and face.
Officers are looking for a suspect in his late teens or early 20s, around 5’8” with a slime build and collar length blonde hair.
A police spokesman said: “Thankfully this incident did not result in more serious injury to the driver or other motorists. Throwing items at moving vehicles is extremely reckless and places road users in danger.
“Such acts could result in serious injury.”
