Last Sunday the minister, Rev. Murdo Campbell, led the service at 11 a.m. assisted by Caroline and Keith Wansbrough who led the children’s/youth message. This Sunday the minister will lead the worship at 11 a.m. The monthly evening service takes place this Sunday at 6.30 p.m. This will be the special Annual Bereavement Service and will be led by Ian Baillie, Session Clerk. This is an open invitation for family and friends in the congregation and the parish who have suffered bereavement, not only in the last year but in past years, to come together for this service of remembrance. The monthly bookstall with Christian material available to suit all ages will be in the Rankine Hall after both services this Sunday. The World Day of Prayer will take place on Friday, March 7 in Slamannan Parish Church at 7 p.m. Door duty this Sunday will be by Alan Macfarlane, Alistair McDonald, Laura Crompton, Charles Lees Richard Baird and Tom Nimmo. The creche will be manned by Joanne Kilpatrick, Dorothy McDonald and Lesley Mann.
Brightons Ladies’ Group will meet in the Community Hall at 7.45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4 when the guest speaker, Geoff Bailey, will talk on ‘Women at War’. All ladies welcome. Admission £2.
