Last Sunday’s service was conducted by Rev. Louise McClements. Morning service this Sunday will take place at the usual time of 10 a.m. when the Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides will take place in the annual Thinking Day Service. Sunday School and the apprentices will also be involved with this service. The Sacrament of Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, March 2. The banner group meets on Friday at 2 p.m in the church hall. Sunday morning services are recorded and a cd is available for anyone who is housebound or unable to attend church. Community Council

Shieldhill and California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in the Community wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School on Thursday, February 27 at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome - if you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.

Photography Course

A digital photography course is starting in Shieldhill Primary School on Monday, February 24 from 6.30 – 9 p.m. This is a free six-week course suitable for anyone interested in getting more out of their digital camera. Gospel Hall

Friday-Timeout, the programme for boys and girls continues on Friday at 6.30 p.m. with choruses, a quiz, a Bible story and juice and biscuits. All children invited, with adults if desired. The Christian gospel will be preached on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. (note time) when the speaker will be Tom Watt from Cowdenbeath. Come to hear this message for yourself. The Mums and Tots continues on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. for all mothers and toddlers in the area. There is no charge and tea and coffee are supplied. All are free to come and go as they please.
