Clydesdale Bank is closing its Denny branch

The Clydesdale Bank’s branch in Denny is to close in August, the company has announced.

Customers’ accounts will be transferred to the Falkirk branch, and all staff will be given jobs elsewhere in the company.

Clydesdale Bank say the closure of the Duke Street branch is a result of the way people are now banking, with fewer people using branches and more using internet and mobile banking.

Steve Fletcher, head of branch network said: “We understand customers will be disappointed by this news, but hope that the proximity to the Post Office and the ever-increasing range of aternative ways they can bank with us will minimise any impacts.”
