Denny Old

Worship on Sunday is at 11 a.m. and will be led by Sandra Mathers. The Sunday Club meets at the same time, and crèche facilities are available. The Lunch-Box is open on Monday from 11am – 1.30pm, serving soup, sandwiches, tea/coffee and home baking. All welcome. The Girls’ Brigade meets on Monday at 6.30 p.m. in the hall, and is open to all girls of school age. The Guild begins its new session on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. in the hall with an nformal opening rvening. New members will be made most welcome, any age, male or female. The Congregational Board meets next Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. in the hall. The Harvest thanksgiving service will take place on Sunday, September 28. As last year, you are invited to bring along donations for the Falkirk Foodbank.

Westpark Church

Worship on Sunday is at 10.30 a.m. The service will be led by Reverend Phyllis Wilson. Kidzone take part at the start of the service then move to the halls to enjoy their own activities. Creche facilities are also available. All church groups details in the church website. On Wednesday morning the Wednesday Welcome is open from 10 a.m. for fellowship over tea or coffee followed by a short service from 11.15 to 11.45 a.m. Please note that the Open Door is open again from today (Thursday) from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for tea, coffee and lunch. There is a choice of two soups, main course, sandwiches, sweet or fruit loaf at reasonable prices. All welcome. Please note that the mother and toddler group held at Westpark on Tuesday and Friday mornings is currently full.

Baptist Church

The toddlers group will not meet today (Thursday) due to the referendum. The Friday Toddlers meets as usual at 9.30 a.m. All prayer groups are invited to a joint get-together tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30 p.m. in the church for fellowship, praise and testimony. Anyone not in a group is invited along too. The services on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. will be led by the Reverend Norman Graham. Visitors are always welcome and children and young people meet during the morning worship. Rainbow Hour for over-60s meet this Tuesday at 2 p.m. for the fortnightly informal meeting and afternoon tea.

Citizens Advice

Notice is given that the 24th AGM of Denny Citizens Advice takes place in Denny Old Church halls on Tuesday, September 23 at 12.30 p.m. Members of the public are welcome to attend. The bureau is located above Clydesdale Bank at 24 Duke Street and is open today (Thursday), Friday, Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A legal clinic is held every four weeks on Wednesdays by appointment only (4-5 p.m.). Outreach clinics are held at the Community Education Wing at Bankier Primary School today (Thursday) from 10 a.m.-noon, at Bridge Crescent Community Flat on Tuesday from 9.30 a.m. to noon and Denny Parish Church Hall on Wednesday from 9.30 a.m.-11.30 a.m. Telephone service (Citizens Advice Direct) available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on (01324) 823118.
