Denny Old

Worship on Sunday will be at 11 a.m. and will be led by David Nicholson, interm moderator. There will be a creche available. The walking group meets on Tuesday at 7 p.m., all welcome to come along and enjoy a gentle walk for about an hour. There will be a short meeting of helpers for the Holiday Club after the service on Sunday.

Westpark Church

The last Open Door takes place today (Thursday) from 10.30 a.m.-1 p.m. before closing for the summer. A choice of homemade soups and sandwiches are available at reasonable prices. Worship on Sunday begins at 10.30 a.m. and will be led by the Rev. Phyllis Wilson. Creche facilities are available. Kidszone take part in the beginning of the service and then move to the hall for their own actitivites. The Wednesday Welcome is open from 10 a.m. for tea with a short service beginning at 11.15 a.m. During July a soup lunch will be held after each Wednesday Welcome, beginning July 2.

WASP classes

The registration day for the Denny Wider Access to Schools project (WASP) will take place on Thursday, August 28 from 10 a.m.-noon. in Denny High School assembly hall and from 6.30-8.30 p.m. in the WASP wing. Mark your calendar and watch the website www.dennywasp.org.uk for more details.

Citizens Advice

The bureau is located above Clydesdale Bank at 24 Duke Street, Denny and is open today (Thursday), Friday and Wednesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A legal clinic is held every four weeks on Wednesdays by appointment only (4-5 p.m.). Outreach clinics are held at the Banknock Community Centre today (Thursday) from 9.30 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. and at Bridge Crescent Community Flat on Tuesday from 9.30 a.m.-noon. Telephone service (Citizens Advice Direct) available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on (01324) 823118. Please note the bureau will be closed on Monday, June 30.

Cabaret show

Hello, is it Kirkslap you are looking for? Head to the Masonic Hall in Denny on Saturday for a cabaret tribute to Lionel Ritchie and the music of Motown. All are welcome to attend what should be a great night. Admission is £10 and includes a finger buffet.

Buggy Group
