Citizens Advice

The bureau is located above Clydesdale Bank at 24 Duke Street and is open today (Thursday), Friday, Monday and Wednesday from 10am-2pm. A legal clinic is held every four weeks on Wednesdays by appointment only (4-5pm). An outreach clinic is held at Bridge Crescent Community Flat on Tuesday from 9.30am-noon. Telephone service (Citizens Advice Direct) available Monday-Friday from 9am-8pm and Saturday 10am-2pm on (01324) 823118.

Denny Old

Worship on Sunday is at 11am and will be led by Sandra Mathers. Creche facilities will be available. Walking Group meets at the church on Tuesday at 7pm. (If it is raining at 6.30pm the walk will not take place). You are most welcome to come along and join the Group, the walks are gentle and suitable for everyone to enjoy. Holiday Club for children will take place in August and any donations towards the running costs of this will be much appreciated. Boxes are available in the church for this purpose. Next meeting of the Time Out group will be on Thursday, July 23 at 8pm in the Wheelhouse. (Please note change of day) Anyone needing a lift should contact Irene Rennie. All intimations for Sunday Service to be with Janet Rhodes by Thursday night at the latest.

Westpark Church

The service on Sunday will be led by Arthur Stewart, children welcome. The children will be in for the start of the service, then retire to the hall to enjoy their own activites. There will be a vestry hour on Wednesday evening from 7-8pm for anyone who wishes to speak to the locum minister, Rev. David Wandrum. The Wednesday Welcome is open from 10.30 am for coffees/teas and fellowship and service from 11.15-11.45am. Sympathy is extended to the family Mabel Duncan whose funeral is in Westpark Church tomorrow (Friday) at 10.45am. The GoMad Holiday Club begins on July 20 - the Youth Cafe will meet at Westpark Hall at 7pm on week nights from 7pm from July 20-29 (on Thursday evening the Scout Hall). There will be a community quiz in Westpark Church hall on Tuesday at 7.30pm (for teams of around four). Sundown services take place each week night on July 20-28 in Westpark Church at 9.15pm. An exhibition of Daniel Spencer and Mary Slessor is on view at the front of the church during the mission. A charity concert will be held in Denny Old Church on Thursday, July 30.

Baptist Church

The service this Sunday at 11am will be led by the Rev. Norman Graham. Visitors are always welcome. A summer Sunday school will operate this month during the service. Also at 2.30pm on Sunday, everyone is invited to meet at the Callendar Park opposite the house for a picnic (weather permitting).

Step Forth

Step Forth is delighted to offer a new walk in Denny. It leaves from the community flat in Bridge Crescent at 6.30pm. The walk leaders who will show you new paths in the area.
